Self Reported Health Status

Just ask! One important measure of health is what individuals believe the state of their health to be. This indicator measures "poor and fair" responses by Pittsburghers, organized in three clusters, and compares them with national and benchmark responses. Each cluster is a three-year response average: 2007 data are for 2005-07, 2006 for 2004-06 and 2005 for 2003-05.

Pittsburgh men, like their counterparts in all benchmark regions but Detroit, report fewer health concerns than was normal in nation.
